Overview

This position for our professional soccer team, you will be responsible for generating engaging and innovative content across various digital platforms. Your role is pivotal in capturing the excitement of the game and the essence of our team to strengthen our online presence and connect with fans globally. The club is looking for someone with industry experience in managing social media marketing programs and increasing the size of social audiences across platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-starter ad creative and functions well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Create a diverse range of content, including articles, blog posts, social media updates, video content, and graphics, that resonates with our fans and promotes the team’s brand.
  • Social Media Management: Manage/Grow team’s presence on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Vine, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Storytelling: Use storytelling techniques to create compelling narratives about the team, players, matches, and fan experiences.
  • Live Coverage: Provide live updates and coverage during matches and team events, including pre- and post-match analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, PR, and media teams to align content with broader promotional strategies and campaigns.
  • Fan Engagement: Interact with fans online, fostering a vibrant and engaging community around the team.
  • Analytics: Use analytics tools to monitor content performance and fan engagement, adjusting strategies accordingly for optimal reach and impact.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay updated on the latest digital content trends and best practices in sports media to keep our content fresh and relevant.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience across all channels.
  • Create and manage social media content calendar.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in content creation, social media management, or digital marketing, preferably in sports or a related industry.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in digital media software tools (Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, CMS).
  • Familiarity with SEO, content categorization, and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement.
  • Ability to work flexibly and attend games and events outside regular business hours.
  • Passion for soccer and a deep understanding of the sport’s culture and fan base.
  • Knowledge of Soccer is preferred.
Working Conditions: •
This role requires flexibility in hours, including working on evenings, weekends, and holidays to cover matches and team events.
