Position Overview
The Creative & Digital Design Intern will play a key role in shaping FUNDI Charter’s digital presence and visual identity. This internship offers an exciting opportunity for a creative, technically skilled individual to build a professional portfolio while contributing to a mission-driven educational organization. The intern will assist with the redesign and ongoing maintenance of the school website and create compelling graphic design content that communicates FUNDI’s unique STEAM story to prospective families, current students, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Management

  • Assist in designing, laying out, and coding new website pages and features using platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, or similar content management systems

  • Update and maintain website content, including event calendars, news articles, and program information

  • Optimize web pages for mobile responsiveness and overall user experience (UX)

  • Support the implementation of basic SEO best practices to improve online visibility

Graphic Design

  • Design engaging visual assets for digital and print, including social media graphics, website banners, event flyers, email newsletters, and brochures

  • Create infographics and visual content highlighting the STEAM curriculum and student achievements

  • Ensure all materials align with school branding, including typography, color palettes, and logo usage

  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop visually appealing classroom and recruitment materials

Content Creation

  • Assist in developing a digital portfolio of student projects, including photographing and editing images or short videos

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Experience building or maintaining websites (class projects or personal portfolios accepted); proficiency in HTML/CSS is a plus

  • Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating web and graphic design work

  • Creative, detail-oriented, and skilled in visual composition and typography

  • Strong communication and time-management skills

  • Passion for STEAM education and commitment to the mission of FUNDI Charter School for Business and Vocational Excellence
