Overview

The successful candidate will possess strong writing and edition skills and will also be asked to shoot, edit and publish videography to be utilized on a variety of digital platforms; shoot, edit and publish high-quality photography to be utilized on a variety of digital and print platforms; and write, edit and publish news stories for web, print, and social mediums. The candidate will also participate in creating a long-term strategic communication plan enlisting multimedia content and multiple communication channels, particularly related to web and social media, to engage audiences across multiple demographic backgrounds, with a particular focus on current and prospective college students.

The candidate must show a talent for print-quality photography and web videography, have a strong understanding of social media marketing and have experience in digital and broadcast-quality video shooting, lighting, audio, and editing techniques. Also required are a strong working knowledge of professional digital photo and video equipment and experience and proficiency with photo and video editing products such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an understanding of marketing and advertising strategy are encouraged, as is a willingness to work as a team member and independently work under tight deadlines. They assume responsibility for the accurate completion of assignments.

Requirements: A BA/BS degree or four years of related experience in multimedia and/or marketing environment. Excellent photography, videography, and writing skills also are a must.
