Overview

For more than a century, the Sullivan Foundation has recognized and supported students who demonstrate exceptional leadership and a commitment to service. We cultivate changemakers through scholarships, leadership programs, and community partnerships.

We’re seeking a motivated student who wants to learn more about foundation work and make a meaningful impact. This role offers hands-on experience in a mission-driven environment, with opportunities to create content, collaborate on events, and contribute to projects that support student leadership and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design print and digital assets (flyers, one-pagers, social graphics) using Adobe Illustrator (and the rest of Adobe CC as needed).

  • Develop creative storytelling for our social media channels (draft captions, create reels/shorts, schedule posts, track performance).

  • Assist with website content updates and basic layout edits (no coding required).

  • Support event and program communications (email drafts, sign-ups, run-of-show materials, on-site help as needed).

  • Conduct light research on partner schools, student stories, and service initiatives.

  • Maintain brand consistency and organize creative files and content calendars.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student with strong Adobe Illustrator skills.

  • Portfolio or samples that show strong visual design and storytelling.

  • Familiarity with social media best practices (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook).

  • Clear, concise writing; great attention to detail and deadlines.

  • Self-starter who’s collaborative, curious, and eager to learn about philanthropy/nonprofits.

  • Bonus: experience with Canva, Lightroom/Premiere, basic photography or short-form video.

What You’ll Gain

  • Real-world creative, communications, and nonprofit experience.

  • Mentorship from a small, mission-driven team.

  • A flexible schedule that works around classes.

  • A chance to see your work directly support student leaders and service programs.
