This position of Sustainability Intern helps drive and maintain effective corporate sustainability activities aligned with Entergy’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) programs. These ESG programs include those within the Sustainability and Environmental Policy (SEP) group as well as some enterprise-wide initiatives. This position will report to the Sr. Mgr., Sustainability, to assist sustainability program stakeholders with all sustainability and ESG-related activities, including communications, data management and reporting.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES will align with selected candidate’s capabilities and interests and could include such tasks as:

  • Help enhance the ESG reporting and benchmarking functions of SEP
  • Assist in the development of key process tools to track, report and benchmark sustainability/ESG performance effectively
  • Support team’s work with subject matter experts to gather, organize and report qualitative and quantitative performance results
  • Contribute to the development/implementation of effective database management tools and techniques used to report on sustainability performance
  • Support team’s work with Investor Relations, Communications and various departments in providing timely, complete and correct sustainability/ESG performance results for various investment-related disclosures and rating requests/programs
  • Seek and build cooperative relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Help team provide data as requested by leadership or other internal customers
  • Assist in conducting periodic updates and enhancements to the internal group SharePoint site and the external sustainability website by helping ensure data is current and accurate, and information is accessible and relevant
  • Help implement and support an employee awareness campaign and a new employee-driven grassroots sustainability action group
  • Assist departmental staff in other program areas as requested
