Sports Director

Overview

• Working knowledge and passion for sports. For us, it`s all about telling stories about people rather than just teams and highlights.
• Knowledge of proper grammar is required.
• Must be able to shoot video with station cameras in addition to writing and editing packages, vo sots and look lives.
• Must be able to report live from the field as well as shoot your own live shot.
• Must follow newsroom dress code to properly represent the station on the air and in the field.
• Individual will post written, video and picture content across multiple online platforms and social media sites.

• To be successful in this position, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty to his or her utmost ability.
• Four-year College or University degree and/or previous experience in a television, print or web newsroom.
• Pre-employment background check and drug test required.
• Must be a licensed driver and insurable for a motor vehicle.
