Overview

Examples of work performed in this classification include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create daily informative and promotional content to cross post on agency’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc.) Including press releases and promotional messaging.
  • Moderate communities on all MDWFP social media platforms and respond to public and private questions received while representing the Mississippi State Parks.
  • Produce promotional and educational online video projects and supervise teams in the field as required by MDWFP executive staff and bureau leaders utilizing audio and video equipment and video editing software.
  • Create the Mississippi State Parks Social Media Schedule and assist Marketing Manager with creating annual calendar of events.
  • Track and report analytics of all MDWFP social media campaigns.
  • Takes digital agency photos both candid and posed while also utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud to create and edit images for social media and marketing use.
  • Produce live stream broadcasts as needed.
  • Keep the homepage banners on the Mississippi State Parks website up to date with current news and happenings.
  • Publish Press Releases, Mississippi Outdoors Magazine Articles, Mississippi Outdoors Radio and TV Episodes, and other content as needed on parks website.
  • Assist all website content managers by creating new webpages and editing existing ones and keeping record of current website content managers
  • Archive all online media projects produced by the State Parks.
  • Creates, proofreads, edits, formats, and assists with production of agency media and any other project and/or publication assigned.
  • Assists with the planning, layout, and publishing of parks newsletters.
  • Writes and edits articles for agency newsletters and other publications.
  • Archives published works and news coverage.
  • Reviews, updates, and proofreads information for the agency’s website.
  • Assists with coordination of agency special events.
  • Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,624.00 per year
